About Ladyfest Easthampton

Ladyfest Easthampton will take place April 15th – 17th of 2011. A three day music and arts festival, with hands-on workshops, vendors, and performances at Flywheel Arts Collective and Smith College, our mission is to celebrate and support all musicians and artists in the DIY underground  whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant cultural mainstream, including but not limited to women.

This event will mark both the ten year anniversary of the Ladyfest held at Flywheel in 2001, and the one year anniversary of Flywheel’s re-opening in its new location! We’re thrilled to be creating a woman-run event on this fertile territory for creative work and DIY action.

About Flywheel

Founded in 1999 by two local women , the Flywheel Arts collective is an all-ages, all-volunteer, community-run space in Easthampton, Massachusetts.

You can read more about Flywheel by visiting the Flywheel website and can support the mission of bringing community-based arts and culture to Western Mass by becoming a member of Flywheel.

wondering if you are looking for more bands for this year? Atrina is a female-fronted band from New Haven. CT. We played flywheel years ago, but would love to play there again soon, especially as part of ladyfest.
